 McDonald's Jewelers is celebrating 60 years in Novato, Ca.​

Established in 1952 by Romy McDonald, "McDonald's Jewelers" is located at 908 Grant Ave. Downtown Novato.  Romy opened the store with a McCaskey cash register and an unmovable floor safe both, are still a part of the store today.  Given the name "your hometown jeweler," it was purchased in the 90's by Frank Bowlby, who decided to keep the "McDonald" name and the outstanding traditions.  Pat & Sherry Bowlby purchased it from his brother Frank in 1997 and did a major remodel of the inside with new cases and a new look.  Pat also brought in more of the gift items; clocks, picture frames, jewelry boxes and crystal vases. Gifts are still a part of McDonald's charm.  



Michael Estey and Kenneth Anderson purchased the store in 2000 from Pat and decided  once again to remodel and give the store a new face.  Introduced new technology with CAD custom designs that took McDonald's to the next level.  



As of 2012 Michael is the sole proprietor of McDonald's Jewelers, and looks forward to continuing a great tradition of exceptional service, and that "hometown jeweler" you can count on.  Michael started with Pat & Sherry back in 1998 and has been there ever since.  He carries the same values and will never sacrifice quality, even if it means less profit.  He is GIA certified and specializes in CAD custom designs that are one-of-a-kind pieces. 



McDonald's proudly still offers many amenities that other jewelers do not - ear piercing, engraving, custom designs, appraisals, watch repair and battery replacement.  McDonald's carries a wide variety of Bridal, Wedding Bands, Watches, Gemstone jewelry, Charms, Bracelets, Pendants and Necklaces.  Also jewelry boxes, clocks, jewelry cleaning supplies and small personal gifts.
